Hot & Cold Therapy

Contrast therapy, also known as hot-cold therapy, involves alternating between hot and cold temperatures to help improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. It has been used for centuries to treat a variety of conditions, from sore muscles to joint pain, and has recently gained popularity as a natural, effective way to support overall health and wellness.

Infrared Sauna

Infrared sauna treatments use infrared lamps instead of conventional heat to penetrate your body tissue, which heats up your body before heating up the air.

In an infrared sauna, approximately 20% of the heat goes to heating the air while 80% directly heats up the body. This allows the heat to penetrate more deeply into the body, resulting in more intense sweats while increasing your core body temperature up to 2 degrees.

For comparison, infrared saunas usually operate between 48°C – 70°C, compared to dry saunas that generally operate at a toasty 78°C – 90°C

Traditional Sauna

A Traditional or Finnish sauna is a type of sauna that harnesses the power of dry heat. Unlike steam rooms, also known as wet saunas, moisture and steam are kept at low levels in a Finnish sauna. In fact, the humidity is typically kept around 5-20% and the temperature is set around 80-100ºC
Traditional sauna provide a range of major health benefits, including skin care, muscle relaxation and detoxification.

Ice Bath

The Ancient Greeks used ice baths. Hippocrates, in the 4th century BC, documented the use of cold water for “medicinal purposes and analgesic benefit”. The Ancient Romans used them too. Cold therapy or cryotherapy, has been used in traditional healing throughout time by civilisations all over the world. In the 1960s, scientists started exploring the use of cryotherapy to aid recovery from sports, research that continues to verify that Hippocrates was right all along.
Deliberate exposure to cold water is a practical way to get the body, brain and mind benefits of hormesis.
